InstructionsÂ
Stenciling on Dina Wakley Media Transparencies is such a fun way to experiment with pattern and color. It’s also an easy way to make a quick background in your journal!
Step 1: Gather up some paint colors, stencils, a mini blending tool, and blank transparencies.
Â
Step 2: Using the colors you gathered and the mini blending tool, stencil designs onto the transparencies. The transparency is wide enough to fit two stencils side by side!
Â
Step 3: Using scissors or a paper cutter, cut the transparency in half separating the different designs.
Â
Step 4: Layer the transparency designs over one another. Which design combo looks pleasing and fun? Here, Sunshine was layered over Pointed. When you find a design you like, staple it to a denim page in your Blue Journal.
Â
Step 5: Spray some chipboard pieces with Gloss Spray. Try not to use the same colors used in your stenciling so that the chipboard pieces pop. Layer some collage tissue under the pieces and attach them to the page with a stapler.Â
Â
Step 6: Stamp some words and phrases onto the transparencies. Be careful not to touch them right away as they can smear! Finally, add some splatters with White Gloss Spray.
