The Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays offer many uses in your art journaling projects. They have many more uses than just as a spray. In this project we will use some of the new colors and a couple of different techniques to add to your repertoire. Follow along to find out how to make this fun summery spread.Â
Step 1: Spray some white cardstock with a combination of Gloss Sprays. Allow to dry before next step. Here one page was done with Rouge and Turquoise, and the other page was sprayed with Rouge and Tangelo. It’s good to make extra so you’ll have a variety to choose from and have extra for your stash.Â
Step 2: Stamp some insects all over both pages. You will notice that stamping on the acrylic sprayed page yields great results. The glossy nature of the sprays help to pull off the ink from the stamps and captures the detail really clearly.Â
Step 3:Â Cut out all of your insects.
Step 4: Spray some White Gloss Spray across your page. Allow to dry.
Step 5: Spray some Tangelo and Rouge across the White spray. This will allow your colors to pop on the page. Allow to dry.Â
Step 6: Glue the insects down randomly onto your pages. Add some collaged bits and a phrase or two to finish your page. Finally, add some turquoise drips to bring some contrast.
