Exploring repetition can be a great way to have fun on your mixed media spreads. Faces are one of the most emotive images we can use, and in this project, images of the face are repeated to tell a story. Follow along to see how to create this whimsical spread.Â
Step 1: Stamp your focal point from the Make Things Happen Stamp Set onto white cardstock. Choose a phrase and stamp onto the same page and cut out.Â
Â
Step 2: Hold a piece of the faces tissue (from the Church Doodles Collage Paper) over top of the cut focal image. Sketch around the image and create a loose figure shape. Cut out the tissue. Put aside.Â
Step 3: Spray a portion of your page with Tangelo and Rouge Acrylic sprays leaving some white space. Allow to dry.Â
Â
Step 4: Using White Gesso and the Mosaic Circles Stencil, add some random stenciling to the page.Â
Step 5: Glue down the image and tissue to your page with Ultra Thick Gel Medium. Blend out your edges with more Stabilo pencil to add some depth to your focal image.Â
Â
Step 6: Add some doodles to your page and brush some color to your image with more Rouge Spray. Â
Step 7: Edge your text phrase with Jet Black Ink and select a branch from the Sprigs Chipboard Shapes. Glue everything down.
