How beautiful are the new Wendy Vecchi Archival Inks? I was so excited to try them out as soon as I received them! I have used an old iron-off embossing powder technique as well as made my own ink spray using the new Peachy Keen ink refill for this card. Â
Â
Â
Step 1: Adhere a piece of Post-It tape across a white panel of Wendy Vecchi’s perfect cardstock to mask off the bottom half of the panel. Using Ranger embossing ink, stamp the hearts from the Doodle Town Stamp set around the upper half of the panel. Â
Â
Â
Step 2: Emboss the heart images with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder.Â
Â
Â
Step 3: Using the Domed Ink Blending Tool, blend Morning Glory Archival Ink over the upper half of the panel. Make sure you do not blend below the Post-It tape.Â
Â
Â
Step 4: Carefully remove the Post-It tape and reposition it to the line of Morning Glory ink and cover some of the blue above the line. This will ensure that you do not blend the ink for the grass over the ink for the sky. Next, blend Leaf Green Archival Ink over the bottom half of the panel.Â
Â
Â
Step 5: Remove the Post-It tape and lay a piece of plain paper or a paper towel over the embossed hearts. Using a heated iron, carefully go over the plain paper to heat and lift off the embossing powder. I used a paper towel, but plain paper works better.Â
Â
Â
Step 6: Mix a few drops of Peachy Keen Archival Ink in a Mini Mister with rubbing alcohol and carefully spray around the edges of the panel.Â
Â
Â
Step 7: Stamp the house images on Perfect Cardstock using Black Soot Distress Ink and cut them out. Â
Â
Â
Step 8: Using a Ranger Artist Brush, paint the house images using Morning Glory, Rosey Posey, and Peachy Keen Archival Inks and rubbing alcohol. To access the ink, smoosh it on a Craft Sheet. To finish the card, adhere the house images and stamp the sentiment above the houses. Adhere the panel to a Grey Perfect Cardstock card base. As a finishing touch, add Rosey Posey Liquid Pearls to the hearts on the houses!Â

Here is the finished card. Thank you for stopping by! Â
