Step 1: Using the Mini Ink Blending Tools, apply ink to Simon Hurley Stark White Cardstock. Apply the ink in a circular motion for smoothest results. Begin with Clear Skies, transition to Remember Me around 1/3 the way up the cardstock, then use Crown Me for the remaining 1/3. This will give you a beautiful gradient effect.
Step 2: Lay the Jewel Heist background stamp flat on a hard surface. Spritz the background liberally with clean water using the Distress Sprayer.
Step 3: Before the water dries, place your ink blended background (blended side down) on the background stamp. Hold the cardstock firmly in place and wait for a few seconds to give the water a chance to react with the ink.
Step 4: Lift up the background and admire your beautiful work! This ‘watercolor lift’ technique is a great way to stretch your supplies and take your backgrounds to the next level.
Step 5: Once your background is dry, use an acrylic block or stamp positioning tool to apply the sentiment ‘you are such a blessing’ from Doodle Florals. You could substitute another sentiment here for any occasion!
Step 6: Mount the panel to a white A2 sized card base and, just like that, your card is finished! This is a great reminder that beautiful cards don’t have to be incredibly complicated. Simple is gorgeous, too!
