I just love this cat with his prize mouse to show his love from the Simon Hurley create Purrfect Cats Stamp Set! I used Liquid Pearls to accent that love. There are so many ways to add Liquid Pearls to a project and here I will show you how I used it with a stencil and watered down for splatter.
Step 1: Place the first stencil from the Simon Hurley create Dazzling Diamonds Layering Stencil set, over a 5 1/4” x 4” piece of white Tim Holtz Heavystock. Blend Beach Cruiser Archival Ink over a portion of the white panel.
Step 2: Place the happy hearts 1 stencil from the Simon Hurley create Happy Hearts stencil set over the blended panel. Blend Rose Madder Archival Ink over a portion of the white panel.
Step 3: Stamp the cat image from the Simon Hurley create Purrfect Cats Stamp Set on a piece of Tim Holtz White Heavystock using Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink. Die cut the cat using the matching Purrfect Cats die. Stamp the sentiment and trim it down.
Step 4: Line up the happy hearts 2 stencil so the three heart cluster is above where the cat will be placed on the card and squeeze Merlot Liquid Pearls above the three hearts on the stencil. Using a palette knife, spread the liquid pearls over the three hearts.
Step 5: Thin a glob of Marigold Liquid Pearls on a piece of acetate with water. Using a Ranger Artist Brush, pick up some of the thinned out Liquid Pearls and splatter it on the stenciled panel. Put it to the side to dry completely. Make sure to wash the paint brush and acetate so the liquid pearls doesn’t dry on it.
Step 6: Cut a piece of black Tim Holtz Heavystock to 5 3/8” x 4 1/8” and a piece just a little bigger than the sentiment. Assemble the card using Wendy Vecchi Perfect Card Adhesive and adhere it to a white Wendy Vecchi card base. Use Letter It Foam Tape to pop up the cat and sentiment.
