Hi everyone, Bobbi here! I’m so happy to be with you on the Ranger Projects Page today. I’m sharing this fun Letter It Thank You Card tutorial! Hope you’ll join me.
Step 1: Lay the Ranger Letter It Stencil Flower Burst Stencil over a 4.25" x 5.5" sheet of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Using a Palette Knife, spread a thin layer of Texture Paste Opaque Matte over the surface of the stencil. Carefully lift the stencil from watercolor cardstock. Submerge stencil and palette knife in a small dish of water, so the paste doesn’t dry on them.
Step 2: Working quickly while texture paste is still wet, sprinkle Ranger Mixed Media Powder in Bone around the outer portion of panel. Shake off excess and return to jar. Repeat process with Sea Mixed Media Powder for inner portion of panel. Let air dry.
Step 3: Once texture paste is completely dry, melt Mixed Media Powder with heat tool.
Step 4: Shake the Distress Oxide Spray vigorously to mix color well before each use. Then unscrew Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral Spray and flick color onto textured panel. Dry with the heat tool.
Step 5: Pick up color from Distress Oxide Abandon Coral Ink Pad using Distress Blending Brush. Now swirl inked blending brush onto textured panel concentrating mostly in the center. Repeat process until you're happy with shading. This is going to give you different variations of the same color spray vs ink.
Step 6: To add a little distress, slowly squeeze large droplets of water onto colorized texture panel using a Distress Sprayer. Dry with heat tool.
Step 7: Working on the smooth side of a sheet of 2.75" x 3.75" Distress Watercolor Cardstock, stamp the “I Can’t Thank You Enough” Ranger Letter It Hey You stamp using Jet Archival Ink.
Step 8: Working quickly, place stamped image on a scrap piece of paper. Generously sprinkle Ranger Clear Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder over the stamped image. Shake off excess Embossing Powder and return to jar (it's very important to use the super fine detail embossing powder with this technique).
Step 9: Heat stamped image with heat tool to melt embossing powder.
Step 10: Swipe a little Abandoned Coral Distress Ink onto Glass Media Mat. Pick up ink using Distress Detail Water Brush and color in the “Thank You” image concentrating most color at the bottom of font/letter to create an ombre affect.
Step 11: Die cut 2 floral sprigs from kraft cardstock using Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflower Stems #2 Thinlits Die. Then cut a little Tim Holtz Coats White Craft Thread to wrap around card front.
Step12: Assemble card to kraft A2 card, using Letter It Black Adhesive Foam and Distress Collage Medium Matte.
