Hello Distress® Oxide® Card by Bobbi Smith

Hi everyone, Bobbi here. I’m so happy to be with you today! I thought I would share a fun dimensional “Hello” Funky Foliage card tutorial with you, featuring Distress Oxide Inks.

Instructions

Step 1: Die cut several pieces from the Funky Foliage Thinlits set using Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Gather several different colors of Distress Oxide Inks. The colors I used are Black Soot, Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Wilted Violet, Mustard Seed, Tumble Glass, Broken China, Gathered Twigs, Carved Pumpkin and Pumice Stone. Apply Distress Oxide Inks directly to Non-Stick Craft Sheet. Spritz a little water on ink and Non-Stick Craft Sheet. Pick up ink with Waterbrush and color Funky Foliage.

Step 2: Dry with Heat Tool between layers and colors. Assemble Funky Foliage using Distress Collage Medium Matte. Let dry. Then ink edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam for shading.

Step 3: Die cut smaller scallop border from Stitched Oval Thinlits Set using Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Then color with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide and Waterbrush. Tear a thin corrugated strip from the Textured Surfaces pack, just a little wider than scallop. Assemble an A2 kraft card base with the dark green classic kraft panel and grid panel from the Memoranda Paper Stash, using Distress Collage Medium Matte. Tie a jute bow to corrugated strip/scallop border. Then attach to card front.

Step 4: Now adhere those cute little Funky Foliage die cuts using Distress Collage Medium Matte and Letter It Black Adhesive Foam for a little dimension. Die Cut “hello” from black classic kraft cardstock using the Alphanumeric Cutout Lower (3/4” Tall) Thinlits Set. Then attach to right side of corrugated border, using Distress Collage Medium Matte.

This is such a fun whimsical card to make, I hope you give it a try!
