Halloween is a great time for getting fun, quirky and a little crazy in your art journal.  Using Dyan Reaveley Dylusions unique and fanciful designs are the perfect choice for such the occasion!!!
Â
Step 1:Â Turn to a page in your large Black Dot Grid Dylusions Journal.
Â
Â
Step 2:Â Place the large Dylusions Stencil, Blocking, on your page. Trace the rectangles along the left side with your White Linen Paint Pen. Then shift your paper slightly to the left to trace the rest. This way all the rectangle fit on the page.Â
Â
Â
Step 3:Â Using the Ranger Pigment Ink Pad in Glacier White, stamp the curlicues in the upper right corner.
Â
Â
Step 4:Â In the bottom left rectangles, trace the cobweb stencil from the Dyalog Stencil, Stencil It Too.
Â
Â
Step 5:Â Stamp the phrase Trick or Treat in the upper left rectangles using the Glacier White ink pad.
Â
Â
Step 6:Â If a letter you are about to stamp falls on the lines of the previous traced rectangles, you can take your black marble paint pen and go over the white lines. Then stamp the letter as you normally would.
Â
Â
Step 7:Â Stamp onto white paper with Jet Black Archival ink the following images:
Tea Time Treats: Two rows of candyCrown of Roses: The body and the smaller of the two flowers
Foliage Fillers: The eye
Plenty of Fish in the Sea: The eye of the octopus
Just Robbin Along: The striped legs from the tallest elf. Â
Â
Â
Step 8:Â Arrange and glue down the images as shown in the picture. Â
Â
Â
Step 9: Color your stamped images with the Dylusions Paint Pens. The colors used here are Crushed Grape, Bubblegum PInk, Black Marble, Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange, Polished Jade, Dirty Martini and White Linen.
Â
Â
ÂStep 10:Â You may now add a little quote in the spaces left in the bottom right of the page. Here it says "It's all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!' Â You may also fill in some empty space with the cobweb stencil.
Â
Â
Final Thoughts:Â I just love how quirky and fun this page turned out. It is so entertaining playing with the Dylusions stamps to make great spooky Halloween Characters. Now it's time for you to create your very own! Â
