Perfect for the Halloween season, this page brings a playful scare to your art journal!

Instructions

Hello again, friends! I don’t know about you but Halloween is one of the most inspiring times of year for me to create some spooky journal pages and the new Dylusions embossing products make it easy and fun. Let's get creepy!

Step 1: Place the Large Dylusions Cobwebs Stencil on a blank page in your Dylusions Large Black Dot Grid Journal. Tap your Dyamond Medium Dabber firmly through the stencil to dispense it onto a small area of the page.

Step 2: Pour Dylusions Clear Dyamond Pebbles over the page and gently tap off the excess.

Step 3: Use the Ranger Heat It tool to emboss.

Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 onto 2 more small areas of your page.

Step 5: Spray puddles of Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Rainy Day and Balmy Night all over the page and spritz with water to get the colors moving and blending.

Step 6: Lay a scrap piece of paper on top of your page and press firmly. Peel the paper away and allow it to dry.

Step 7: Cut out these 2 images from the Dylusions Collage Sheets #3. Cut the strip into smaller, thinner strips to use for the spider’s legs and glue them down along with the oval to use for the body.

Step 8: Glue your spider to the page.

Step 9: With your Dylusions Paint Pens draw eyes for the spider, a string for her to hang from, and the quote “Let's get Creepy”.

Step 10: Stretch a piece of synthetic spider web or pull apart a cotton ball and clip your webbing where you’d like it on the page. With a brush or palette knife, apply ultra thick gel medium to multiple spots on the web focusing on the sides and corners. Be sure to smoosh the medium through the web so it sticks to the page once it dries.

Step 11: Splatter Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Fresh Lime to finish your spread.
