Instructions
(1) Use a craft knife and ruler to cut the cork tile to eight inches by ten inches.
(2) Position the flourish mask tacky side down on the left side of the cork tile. Press down to ensure there are no loose edges.
(3) Dab the entire surface of the cork tile with Fired Brick Distress Stain. Take care around the mask so as not to pull up the edges.
(4) Use a paper towel to absorb any excess stain from the mask before removing it from the cork tile.
(5) Set the stained tile aside to dry. Wash and dry the mask and store on the backing sheet.
(6) Stamp flowers onto vintage sheet music using the CH Studio Foam stamps. Stamp two flowers with Fired Brick Distress Stain and one flower with Wild Honey Distress Stain. Overstamp the flowers with the matching CH Studio Clear flower stamp using Jet Black Archival inkpad.
(7) Punch three large (2 ¼”) circles from a sheet of Ranger’s Clear Shrink Plastic. Use a 5/16 inch hole punch to create a hole in the center of each shrink plastic circle. Working on the Non-Stick Craft Sheet, shrink the plastic with the Heat it Craft Tool. Move the Heat-it Tool around to evenly distribute the heat. If the plastic begins to curl in on itself, flip it over on the craft sheet using tweezers. The piece will uncurl and settle when the shrinking is complete. Allow to cool completely before handling.
(8) Once the shrink plastic circles have cooled, apply a coat of Multi-Medium to one side of each circle and adhere them over the stamped flowers on the sheet music. Trim the edges of each floral circle.
(9) Apply a dab of Ranger’s Glossy Accents to the bottom of three pearled push pins and push them through the holes in the centers of each of the shrink plastic flowers. Set aside to allow the Glossy Accents to dry.
(10) Remove the glass from the decorative frame, then insert and secure the cork tile into the frame.
(11) Add the embellished push pins to complete your project.
