Hi there it’s Cheiron Brandon and I am thrilled to be here today to share a fun project using Distress Watercolors and the newest stamps from Tim Holtz, Love Notes. This set is full of solid heart stamps that are perfect for coloring with Distress Watercolor Pencils for stamping. Today I am going to show you how to play with this technique while making a fun accordion card that is sure to be a colorful surprise when opened by the recipient. You will need the Love Notes stamps, your Distress Watercolor Pencils and a sheet of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Â
Step 1: Cut a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock to 3 ½ x 11. Â
Â
Step 2: Score the paper at 2 ¾, 5 ½, 8 ½, but do not fold it yet. Â
Â
Step 3: Take out your pencils and get ready to color. Â
Â
Step 4: Select the heart stamps you would like to use from the Love Notes set and put them on a block.Â
 Â
Step 5: Mist your stamp with a few mists of water and color on your stamp using a Distress watercolor pencil.Â
Â
Step 6: Stamp, clean your stamp off and repeat with different colors until you have filled the front panel.Â
Â
Step 7: Start from the other end of the panel and repeat the stamping toward the inside.Â
Â
Step 8: Continue stamping until you have filled the panel. Â
Â
Step 9: Spray the hearts with water to move the color a bit then dry with a heat tool. Â
Â
Step 10: Stamp a sentiment on the front of the panel. Â
Â
Step 11: Stamp a sentiment on the last panel and fold on the score lines. Â
I hope you had fun creating this project along with me. This piece would also be great tucked inside an art journal too. Â
