Instructions

Hello there! It’s Cheiron and I am back with another tutorial for you, this time using Distress Paints, Distress Watercolor Pencils and the latest stamps from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous. This notecard set is super easy to create, and can be customized with any colors of Distress Paint that you have. These would be a great gift for Mother’s Day, Graduation or just something fun to make for a crafty pal!

Step 1: Add paint to the brushstrokes stamp using a foam blending tool and domed foam.

Step 2: Stamp onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock.

Step 3: Add paint to stamp again, then stamp again overlapping slightly, this time turning the stamp 180 degrees (so what was on top before is now the bottom).

Step 4: Let paint dry or dry with heat tool. Repeat this step with other colors of paint and be sure to clean your stamp and rinse your blending foam out when done.

Step 5: Stamp flower stamp and sentiment with Black Soot Archival Distress Ink.  Let dry or dry with heat tool.

Step 6: Color in the “tape” on the flower with a Picket Fence Distress Watercolor Pencil. The Distress Watercolor Pencils color perfectly over the dried paint.

Step 7: Outline the “tape” with a contrasting pencil color to your paint. So I paired Wilted Violet/Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers/Saltwater Taffy.

Step 8: Adhere your panels to notecards using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed creating these cards with me and will try a set out for yourself!
