Hello, crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here and today I have a post for you featuring a card using stamps from the brand new Stampers Anonymous Halloween release. The main set that I will be using today is the Leaf Prints 2 which has beautiful leaf stamps that look just like printed leaves. I will be combining them with some stamping of the newest Halloween Distress Mica Stains (sets 3 and 4) as Tim showed on his YouTube live demo. If you have not used these yet, the color is AMAZING and so shimmery too and perfect for fall leaves. Â
Â
Step 1:Â For this project, you will need Leaf Prints 2, Distress Mica Stains, Antique Linen Distress Ink, and some Distress Watercolor cardstock to create your main panel. Â
Â
Â
Step 2: Ink Blend Distress Ink in Antique Linen onto a Distress Watercolor Panel cut to 4 x 5 ¼. Spray with water and dry with Heat Tool. Â
Â
Â
Step 3: To stamp the pattern of leaves onto your panel spray a bit of Distress Mica Stain (I did a few colors in different places) onto your craft mat. Â
Â
Â
Step 4: Tap your stamp into the ink. Do not press hard into the ink. You can pick up more than one color if you like (I think it makes more realistic leaves). Â
Â
Â
Step 5: Press your stamp onto the paper. I hold it down for a few seconds before lifting it up. (Note: When I am making a pattern, I start somewhere in the middle, so I am not trying to squeeze images in at the end…it also is great to let some of the image go off the paper in certain areas and rotate your stamp as you go along)Â
Â
Â
Â
Repeat this process until you have filled the panel and let dry completely or dry with a Heat Tool.
Â
Â
Step 6: Once the panel is dry, pick up some of the leftover Mica Stains from your mat with a paintbrush and splatter onto your panel if desired. Â
Â
Â
Step 7: Ink the edges of your panel with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. Â
Â
Â
Â
Step 8: Adhere the card panel to a kraft-colored notecard (4 ¼ x 5 ½)Â
Â
Â
Â
Step 9: Create a Distress Watercolor paper strip for the sentiment. Color the paper by blending Antique Linen Distress Ink so it will match the rest of the card background. Â
Â
Step 10: Stamp the Happy Fall sentiment from the stamp set in Black Soot Distress Archival Ink. Adhere to your card with foam tape. Â
Â
Â
I hope you enjoyed making this card along with me and hope that you will try stamping some of these leaves on your fall projects too 😊 Â
