If you are a lover of all things vintage, like old ledger papers…you are in for a treat, with the new Typed Ledger papers from Dina Wakley MEdia. Sometimes when creating stamped images it can be daunting to just stamp on a piece of white paper. When you stamp onto something that has a subtle print, it can be just the thing to add the right texture to your piece. Follow along to see how this piece used the new pages on this journal spread.
Â
Step 1: Using flower stamps from the Moments stamp set, spray the stamp with water and use some Scribble Sticks on the stamp. Mixing similar colors is a great idea here, as they will give your image more dimension once stamped. Stamp onto white cardstock and allow flowers to dry.
Step 2: Stamp your chosen images and focal point from the She Is Wise set onto ledger paper. Leave enough room to add shoulders and a neck at the bottom of the face.Â
Step 3: Using a water soluble pencil, add some shoulders and a neck to your figure.Â
Â
Step 4: Using a wet brush, blend out the pencil marks to blend in with the stamped outlines.Â
Step 5: Once dry, cut out images.
Â
Step 6: Using Fir and Sage acrylic paints swab over your journal page. Using a mini blending tool, tone it down with some White Gesso and the Cubed stencil.Â
Â
Step 7: Glue everything down across the page with Ultra Thick Gel Medium. Add some doodles with paint pens and a white gel pen.Â
