Fall is just around the corner, and the new colors from the Dina Wakley MEdia release definitely emulate the colors of fall. Especially some of the oak motifs from the new collage tissue. Combining all these new goodies on a burlap page can be a great way to record the change of the season on your journal pages. Follow along to see how to create this Autumnal spread.Â
Â
Â
Step 1: Spray a piece of white cardstock with Syrup and Sage acrylic sprays and allow to dry completely.Â
Step 2: Using the oak leaf collage tissue, spread Ultra Thick Gel Medium on the tissue underside and on the topside of the acrylic sprayed paper. Spread some extra Ultra Thick Gel Medium on the top as well. Burnish with the brush to get any bubbles out of the paper and allow to dry completely.Â
Step 3: Cut out your leaves and save the scraps for the next step.Â
Step 4:Â Stamp a bird and the nest from the Nested Birds cling stamps on to your sprayed scraps. Cut out.Â
Step 5: Using the Bonds stencil, blend some White Gesso and Turquoise onto your page (in this case burlap page) randomly.Â
Step 6: Stamp a phrase of your liking onto your tag from the Let the Art out cling stamp set. Spray some Syrup and Sage acrylic spray onto your tag as well, allow to dry. Â
Step 7: Blend some more Bonds stenciling onto your tag with White Gesso. Edge around your tag with your Jet Black Stamp pad for some added depth.
Step 8: Glue the collage elements to your journal page with Ultra Thick Gel Medium to finish your piece. Add any marks or doodles to give your page a little flair.Â
