Hello there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here with a winter watercolor look birthday card that is super fun and easy to create. Before you put away those holiday stamps use them to create a wintery birthday card with florals perfect for the season. That’s just what we will do today using the Winter Watercolor stamps and some Distress Watercolor Cardstock.  Â
Â
Step 1: Gather your supplies including Distress Watercolor Cardstock, Distress Watercolor Pencils (I used set 3), a Distress Sprayer, Winter Watercolor stamps and some sentiment stamps. Â
Â
Step 2: Adhere your stamp to a block and mist it lightly with the Distress Sprayer. I sprayed from about 12 inches above to give a fine mist. Â
Â
Step 3: Color directly onto the stamp using your Distress Watercolor Pencil. Â
Â
Â
Step 4: Stamp the image onto the Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Â
Â
Step 5: Continue coloring additional images and stamping to create a pattern. Â
Â
Step 6: Once you are done stamping, add additional details and shading with the pencils. Â
Â
Step 7: Add details to the center of your flowers. Â
Â
Step 8: Using a Detailer Waterbrush, blend out any harsh lines. Â
Â
Â
Step 9: Let’s add some splatter. Add some water to your glass mat, then dip the back of your pencil into the water and you will get a pool of pigment.  Â
Â
Step 10: Use a paintbrush to splatter the watery pigment onto your panel. Let dry or dry with a heat tool.Â
Â
Step 11: Ink the edges of the panel with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink using a foam blending tool. Â
Â
Step 12: Stamp the sentiment onto the panel using Black Soot Distress Archival Ink. Â
Â
Step 13: Mount the panel onto some Idea-ology Kraftstock in coordinating colors and adhere to a card base. Â
Â
I hope you enjoyed playing with watercolor stamps and pencils! I always love the look I get from these and it almost looks like you painted the card yourself. Â
