Hello! I am going to show you how you can use liquid pearls in a few different ways to make this rustic winter thank you card. I love to paint with liquid pearls because you get a subtle glimmery effect that is so pretty on your finished project.
Step 1: Tap Wendy Vecchi Acorn Archival ink on the 9x9 Make Art Craft Sheet and spritz with 91% alcohol. Smoosh a 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” piece of Perfect Cardstock around in the ink. Repeat this process to get enough coverage.
Step 2: Squeeze a small amount of Cornflower Blue Liquid Pearls on the craft mat. Using the Tim Holtz Waterbrush, pick up some of the liquid pearls to paint over the empty areas of the background making sure to overlap some of the Acorn ink. Place to the side to dry.
Step 3: Using the same technique, paint one of the Chippies Wreaths using Prickly Pear Liquid Glue. Paint Fern Green Liquid Pearls in some areas of the wreath to add dimension.
Step 4: To add the berries to the wreath, squeeze Red Geranium Liquid Pearls on the craft mat. Pick up a small amount on the tip of a Make Art Stylus and dab on the wreath. The different size stylus will give you different size berries and will give you more control on size and placement. I put mine on a little chunky for a more organic look. Allow to dry completely.
Step 5: Once the background is dry, stamp the Simon Hurley Splinter Background using Wendy Vecchi Acorn Archival ink.
Step 6: Stamp two of the houses from Wendy Vecchi Doodle Town on Perfect Cardstock using Ranger Jet Black Archival ink and cut them out. Using the waterbrush, paint the houses using Wendy Vecchi Red Geranium, Cornflower Blue, and Sunflower Liquid Pearls. Use Wendy Vecchi Potting Soil Enamel accents to paint the roof and the doors.
Step 7: Squeeze a small amount of White Ranger Enamel Accents on the Perfect Stamp Positioner. Spritz with a small amount of water. Mix and flick it on the background using the smallest brush from the Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Tool Set for a snowy addition.
Step 8: Blend Acorn Archival ink around the edges using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending tool with Domed Foam. Stamp “Thanks So Much” from Wendy Vecchi A Million Thanks Stamp Set on a strip of Perfect Cardstock using Jet Black Archival ink. Then, assemble the card using Wendy Vecchi Perfect Card Adhesive and Wendy Vecchi Perfect card White Cards.
