Instructions

Hello, I’m delighted to be here with Ranger sharing a card which has a little bit of everything! I’ll be using dye inks for watercolouring and stamping, pen details and perfect pearl splatter for added interest and texture paste and heat embossing for dimension. Let’s get started!

Wendy Vecchi Watercoloured Flowers Card Step 1

Step 1: Tape a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock to a board and using a broad brush wet the whole surface with water. Squidge Leaf Green and Forget-Me-Not Wendy Vecchi Blendable Dye Ink Pads onto a slick surface such as a side plate. Pick up the colour with a brush and loosely watercolour the card letting the water on the surface move and blend the colours. Let the panel dry or speed up with a heat tool.

Step 2: Stamp flowers from Dina Wakley’s Good Idea set and leaf sprigs from Tim Holtz Mini Media Marks set in Wendy Vecchi Leaf Green Blendable Dye Ink. Using a Mini Mister, spritz the card to soften the stamped lines. Pick up more colour with a brush and add to the stamped images – Leaf Green to the leaves and Forget-Me-Knot to the petals. Dry.

Step 3: With a waterproof black pen, loosely doodle and outline the images. Place a scoop of Perfect Pearl Perfect Pearls powder on your mat and mix with a spritz of water from a Mini Mister. Splatter the sparkly mixture liberally over the whole panel. Dry.

Step 5: Treat the card with a Ranger Anti-Static Pouch and stamp the greeting from Dina Wakley’s Good Idea set in embossing ink. Sprinkle on Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder and heat set until smooth and melted. Splatter water over the panel and again sprinkle with the Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

Step 6: By now with the light catching the sparkle and shine, the card has lots of interest from watercoloured background with loosely stamped images accented with black lines and then Perfect Pearl mixture for sparkle with Texture Paste and heat embossing for dimension. It’s finally time to make it into a card!

Step 7: Trim the panel to be just slightly smaller than a Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Card. Add foam adhesive to the back of the panel and adhere to the card front.

Step 8: Done! To embellish further you could add enamel accents, but I think there’s enough going on already with lots of interest for the eye to take in.
