Instructions
Step 1: Create your card background using the Simon Hurley create. Luau Background Stamp. Stamp the pattern on a sheet of White Perfect Cardstock by Wendy Vecchi using Simon Hurley Create Ink in the color Prom Queen.
Step 2: Start working on the scene background. Trim a sheet of White Perfect Cardstock by Wendy Vecchi to 5"x3.75" and create a grassy border with the Scene Maker Stencil by Simon Hurley create. Secure the stencil to your card panel using the magnets in the Wendy Vecchi 7" MAKE ART Stay-tion and add color with Simon Hurley create. Ink in the color Sike!. Use a Distress® Blending Brush for a softer look.
Step 3: Add clouds to the sky with the cloud border in the Scene Maker Stencil by Simon Hurley create. Blend Simon Hurley Ink in the color Remember Me using a Distress® Blending Brush. Start from the top of your panel and move your way downwards.
Step 4: Shift the stencil and flip it around to get more variation in your cloud shapes. Continue blending until the whole sky area is filled with puffy clouds!
Step 5: Stamp images from the Simon Hurley create. Road Trip Stamp Set on Distress® Watercolor Cardstock using Archival Ink™ in the color Jet Black. Watercolor them using Simon Hurley create. and Wendy Vecchi Blendable Dye Inks.
These are the colors used for this card:
- Palm Trees: Wendy Vecchi Fern Green and Potting Soil Inks.
- Airplane: Simon Hurley create. Remember Me, Rosy Cheeks, Slippery When Wet, Traffic Cone and Prom Queen Inks. Wendy Vecchi Watering Can and Violet Inks
Once done coloring, fussy cut the images with some scissors.
Step 6: Stamp one of the sentiments from the Simon Hurley create. Road Trip Stamp Set using Slippery When Wet and Archival Jet Black inks. Adhere all the elements together, raising the scene panel and the airplane with foam tape for extra dimension. Add Crystal Stickles to a few areas of the airplane image and mist the card with a solution of water and Perfect Pearls for even more shimmer!
