Get ready to party and shake it, with this adorable gnome themed shaker card by Daniel Diaz. Follow along with Daniel as he walks you through the steps to create this fun card using the Gnome Party Simon Hurley create. Clear Stamp Set.

Instructions

Hi crafty friends! Today I'm showing you a shaker card I made using some Simon Hurley Stamps and Dye Ink Pads. Right now I am totally obsessed with shaker cards. They just make me happy. Let’s jump over to the step-by-step tutorial.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 1

Step 1: Let's begin by stamping all the images we need for this card with Ranger Archival Jet Black onto some Simon Hurley Stark White Cardstock. Just the gnome mushroom house needs to be stamped on a different piece of cardstock, which will be 4 ¼ by 5 ½ as you will need this one as the first layer for your shaker card. You can use some acrylic blocks to stamp them but you could also use a stamping platform.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 2

Step 2:  After everything is stamped, it’s time to color out everything. Use your favorite coloring tools to color the images just the way you want them.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 3

Step 3: Now fussy cut all your images leaving a little white border on all of them, just not the big gnome mushroom house as we said before. Then stamp the gnome house again on masking paper and fussy cut it, but do not leave a white border as you want it to fit directly on the stamped one.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 4

Step 4: To create the background, use the Simon Hurley Scene Maker Stencil. For the clouds use some Simon Hurley Clear Skies Dye Ink. For the grass, use three different inks to give it some nice dimension. Start by using the lightest one "Overzealous", then "Later Gator" and then the darkest colour "Fake plant".

Shake It Gnome Party Step 5

Step 5: After your background is done, you can take off the mask paper. Just take it off slowly so it does not damage the image.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 6

Step 6: Let´s start making the shaker window. For that use a circle die and place it directly over the gnome house. It shoud be right in the middle of your card panel. Keep the inner part you have die cut with the middle part of the house on it.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 7

Step 7: Cut another sheet of Simon Hurley Stark White Cardstock down to the same size as your first panel. Place your background panel over the white panel to adhere the circle part right there where you have die cut the circle with Perfect Adhesive. That way it will be at the right spot and will be behind the shaker window.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 8

Step 8: Use one of the bigger circles from the same set and die cut a circle from a piece of acetate. Glue that piece of acetate right behind the open circle of your first panel.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 9

Step 9: Now add two layers of foam tape on the back of the circle panel, so that the little sequins got enough space to move inside. Place all the sequins right on top of the gnome house circle and adhere the window panel just on top.

Shake It Gnome Party Step 10

Step 10: To finish the card, adhere all the images on the card panel and stamp the sentiment “Happy Birthday“ on the blank sign.

That’s it my crafty friends, now you have a fun birthday shaker card.

Thanks again for stopping by. I wish you all the best. Stay safe and healthy.
