Get ready to add some pizzazz to your next journal page with this tutorial by Denise Lush! Doodle away with Dylusions paint pens, ink sprays, and more to create a fun and unique page.
You can have lots of fun with a few stamps and some colored paint pens! Grab your journal and play along.Â
Â
Step 1:Â On the bottom middle of a page in your Dylusions Ledger Journal, stamp the curlicue from the stamp set Stripy Curlicues. Stamp a second one on a scrap piece of paper and cut it out. You will use this as a mask.Â
Â
Step 2: With the mask you created covering your first stamped image, ink up your stamp and stamp it again on the left and right of the first curlicue. Â
Â
Step 3:Â Stamp the head from stamp set High Tea and the body from Walk In The Park Duo with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink.Â
Â
Step 4:Â Color the images with some Dylusions Ink Spray. The colors used here are Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, Vibrant Turquoise, Bubblegum Pink and Pink Cherry.Â
Â
Step 5:Â Stamp the heart buttons from the stamp set Sew Easy and color them with Cherry Pie Ink Spray.Â
Â
Step 6: Use a border stamp from Sew Easy and stamp it along the top and two sides. Â
Â
Step 7:Â Color in the border with the Black Marble Paint Pen.Â
Â
Step 8:Â Cut out your stamped images and glue them down as shown in the pictures. Cut off the cupcake earrings and replace them with the heart buttons.Â
Â
Step 9:Â Write in your quote with the Calypso Teal Paint Pen to really make it pop off the page. This quote reads:Â
"I hate when people accuse me of lolly gagging when I’m quite clearly dilly dallying."
Â
Step 10:Â Using your paint pens and some black fineliners, doodle on your page. Have fun with this adding as much or little doodling as you want.Â
Â
Doodling is a great way to relax and let go of perfection. Never forget to have fun when playing in your journals.
