Hi there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am back with a fun tutorial for you using the newest color in the Distress Line, Lost Shadow. It is a perfect light grey for me and is the perfect shadow color when layering hearts on these watercolor look cards I created for Valentine’s Day! Today I have a set of 5 cards for you, showing some different color combinations for Valentine cards, perfect to send to all your friends, in their favorite color. Â
Â
Â
Step 1: To begin, let’s gather the supplies we need: some Distress Watercolor Cardstock, Lost Shadow Distress Oxide (and your other favorite oxide ink colors), a Distress Sprayer, and Spring Shadows and Noteworthy stamps. Â
 Â
Step 2: Pick out 2 colors of Distress Oxides in the same color family. Stamp the heart in Lost Shadow Distress Oxide, then stamp in the lighter color of oxide that you selected.Â
Â
Step 3: Add the second color of oxide that you selected and stamp the remaining hearts. Â
Â
Step 4: Mist the card using a Distress Sprayer to activate the oxides, don’t spray too much or you will get small blobs of color (I do not mind those at all!). Â
Â
Step 5: Dry your panel with a heat tool to keep the color from spreading. Â
Â
Step 6: Press some of the colors onto your glass mat or craft sheet, and spray with water using a Distress Sprayer. Pick up the color with a paintbrush and splatter on to your card panel for a more artsy look. Dry with heat tool. Â
Â
Â
Step 7: Emboss sentiment onto black cardstock using white detail embossing powder. Use an anti-static pouch on your paper before stamping to eliminate powder from sticking where you do not want it to. Â
Â
Â
Step 8: Distress the edges of your panels using a Distress Edger. Â
Â
Â
Step 9: Ink the edges of your panels with the Lost Shadow Distress Oxide to bring it all together. Â
Â
Step 10:Â Adhere the panels onto a card base and then add the sentiment to the card using foam tape. Â
Â
I hope you like the look of these easy to create Valentine’s as much as I do! I am ready to put them in envelopes and send them out to crafty pals. Here is a look at the remaining color combos I used, I can’t wait to see the combos that you come up with! Â
