Layering colors and images can be a fun way to play on your journal pages. In this spread, multiple images were repeated to create a layered effect. Follow along to recreate this spread in your journal.
Step 1: Spread patches of Rouge, Orchid, and Turquoise onto your page and overlap the edges. Leave some “white space” with no color as well. Allow to dry.
Step 2: Using some White Gesso and a Mini Blending Tool, add some paint to your stamp image. Stamp it onto your colored patches. Repeat across the page. Experiment with layering some.
Step 3: Using your Cubed stencil and some Cheddar acrylic, stencil over some of the patches to add more texture to your spread. (Here stenciling over the faces was avoided but could also look very fun for an extra layered look).
Step 4: Add some stenciled Marks all over the page in White Gesso. Allow to dry.
Step 5: Spray some Turquoise Gloss Spray onto your page. Here we barely pressed the nozzle down to create a splatter effect. You could also open the bottle and use the stick to splat your paint instead.
Step 6: Using the Alpha stencils, trace some letters on some printed pages. Here we used the Collage Collective to stencil on. Cut out your letters and glue down to the page. Finish with any doodles and marks of your own.
