Instructions
Step 1: Let me walk you how I created these cards. Take Dina Wakley Media Paints in Turquoise, Lime, Lemon and Ocean and four card bases made of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Paint all the card fronts with Lemon paint.
Step 2: Using the Swirling Dashes Stencil and a dry brush, apply Turquoise paint through the stencil.
Step 3: Using the Medieval Stencil and a dry brush, apply Lime paint through the stencil.
Step 4: Your card fronts should resemble this. Don’t be afraid of the white space, we are going to add some more to it before we are finished.
Step 5: Using a stamp platform, stamp the Funky Faces Background with Emboss It Ink onto Turquoise-colored cardstock.
Step 6: Heat emboss the image using Super Fine White Embossing Powder.
Step 7: Add some more interest to your panels with drips and splatters of Dylusions Ink Sprays in Mushy Peas and Periwinkle Blue.
Step 8: Stamp the image from the Text and Scribbles set using Night Archival Ink . I have a full size Night colored ink pad that I made using a DIY Archival Inkpad and a Night reinker.
Step 9: Use the sentiment from the Splatter Girl Set to create your own tape by stamping the sentiment in Night Archival Ink onto pieces of Blank Dina Wakley Media Tape.
Step 10: To finish up your card set, spray each card front with a bit of Distress Mica Spray in Tarnished Brass, add the stamped Media Tape and some of the funky faces from the turquoise cardstock. Finish the cards off with a few Tim Holtz Idea-ology stickers. Layer the panels onto a notecard.
I hope you see how easy these cards are to make and that you will try them out for yourself!
