Step 1: Spritz tags and squares with water. Shake the Distress Oxide Spray vigorously to mix color well before each use. Then spritz Distress Oxide Pumice Stone Spray onto tags and squares. Dry with the Heat Tool.
Step 2: Spritz tags and squares with water. Shake the Distress Oxide Spray vigorously to mix color well before each use. Then spritz Distress Oxide Pumice Stone Spray onto tags and squares. Dry with Heat It Craft Tool.
Step 3: To add a little more distress, slowly squeeze large droplets of water onto colorized tags and squares using a Distress Sprayer. Dry with Heat Tool.
Step 4: You'll end up with something like this, a very subtle background to build your tags and squares.
Step 5: Using stamps from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Festive Overlay Stamp Set ink the “Deer” Stamp using Archival Coffee Ink Pad. Stamp image onto a SCRAP PIECE OF PAPER. Then right away stamp the same deer image onto colorized tag WITHOUT REINKING. This is called second generation stamping and it gives a much softer background image, that isn't overpowering. Repeat this step with the additional five tags using different images from this stamp set and varying colors from the Winter Archival Ink Bundle.
Step 6: Ink the “Have a Wonderful Holiday Season” Stamp using the Archival Library Green Ink Pad. Then stamp phrase onto tag, centering over the deer. First generation stamping for the phrase, you want it to be nice and bold. Repeat this step with the additional five tags using different phrases from this stamp set and varying colors from the Winter Archival Ink Bundle.
Step 7: Ink the “Stripes” Background Stamp using the Archival Vermillion Ink Pad. Then stamp stripes background onto square. Repeat this step with the additional two squaresusing varying colors from the Winter Archival Ink Bundle.
Step 8: Cut 1-inch strips for bottom of tags using the stamped stripes. Tear bottom to expose a rough edge.
Step 9: Cut a 3 x 5 inch piece of Tim Holtz Distress Metallic Kraft-Stock and sand slightly to expose the underlying craft (make sure to protect craft area with scrap paper)
Step 10: Punch 6 snowflakes from the Metallic Kraft Stock using Tim Holtz Sizzix Snowflake Large Paper Punch.
Step 11: Shade all paper pieces along edges lightly with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Blending Tool w/Foam.
Step12: (Optional-sew snowflake to striped stamped strips). Assemble tags using Letter It Black Adhesive Foam and Distress Collage Medium Matte.
