Hi there! It’s Cheiron Brandon and I am back with another fun tutorial using the brand-new MINI Distress Oxides. I am so happy they are here and I thought it would be fun to celebrate by trying out different color combinations of some of the new colors. There are 6 new sets of Mini Distress Oxides and today I will create a set of six mini notecards that are perfect to send, or attach to a little gift. All the color combos I used will be listed at the end of this post.

Step 1: Cut Distress Watercolor panels to 3 x 3.

Step 2: Using the solid images in the Note Quotes stamp set, begin to stamp a pattern using your first color. Clean your stamp off.

Step 3: Continue to build your pattern with the next color. Clean your stamp off.

Step 4: Repeat with a third color.

Step 5: Mist your panels with water to activate the color and make it look oxidized. Let dry or dry with heat tool.

Step 6: Stamp the outline shape from the Note Quotes stamp set using Distress Archival Ink in Black Soot.

Step 7: Stamp the sentiment you choose inside of the shape. Let dry.

Step 8: Cut out the sentiment.

Step 9: Mount the stamped panel onto a folded card base. Add the cut-out sentiment to the panel using foam tape.

Combo 3:  Spun Sugar, Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed

Combo 4: Spiced Marmalade, Lumberjack Plaid, Seedless Preserves

Combo 5: Prize Ribbon, Bundled Sage, Stormy Sky

Combo 6: Vintage Photo, Peacock Feathers, Rusty Hinge
