Ranger Texture Paste Hello Card by Miriam Prantner

Add dimension and shine to your handmade cards like Miriam Prantner. She used Ranger Metallic White and Transparent Matte Texture Pastes with Archival Inks to create this bright, textured seaside design, perfect for sending a cheerful hello!

Instructions

Follow along with me as I create this fun, dimensional card with Ranger Texture Pastes and Archival Inks.

Step 1: Add color to Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Panel by dragging Manganese Blue Mini Archival Ink Pad across panel with a wave/scallop motion.

Step 2: Add color to Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Panel by dragging Cobalt Mini Archival Ink Pad across panel with a wave/scallop motion. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 as needed to achieve desired coverage.

Step 3: Place Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Brush Art Layering Stencil over inked panel and secure with masking tape. Apply Metallic White Texture Paste to bottom portions of each of the scallops/waves using Simon Hurley Spatula tool.

Step 4: Apply Transparent Matte Texture Paste to upper portions/peaks of each of the scallops/waves using Simon Hurley Spatula tool. Because the Metallic White Texture Paste will still be wet, there may be some cross contamination, so it’s best to scoop out a portion of the Transparent Matte Texture Paste onto the Ranger Non-Stick Craft Sheet and use from there.

Step 5: Remove stencil and allow paste to dry. Because paste will be quite think in areas as you are not scraping excess off, this will take longer than normal.

Step 6: Trim panel down on long sides and using scissors, cut around wave tops.  Using Blending tool ink wave tops with Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink  Trim down bottom row of waves.

Step 7: Assemble card. Cut a Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Panel down to 3 1/4” x 4 1/2”. Stamp sun shape from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Note Quotes Stamp & Stencil Mixed Media set with Chrome Yellow Mini Archival Ink Pad in top left corner. Very lightly stamp circle outline with Bright Tangelo Mini Archival Ink Pad.  Stamp sentiment with Archival Jet Black Ink in center of sun.  Attach waves to card adhering first row directly to stamped panel, second row with one layer of foam adhesive, and the third row with two layers of foam adhesive. Cut two small bird shapes from Distress Black Heavystock and adhere to panel.  Add 3 1/2” x 4 3/4” mat cut from turquoise cardstock and adhered both mat and stamped/stenciled panel to Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Card.
