For today’s project, I used Perfect Pearls several different ways to create a soft and shimmery Mother’s Day card.

Step 1: Swipe Perfect Medium inked over panel of Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock.

Step 2: Randomly sprinkle Iris, Pink Gumball, Forever Blue, and Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Powders over panel, using small paintbrush from Metallics Pigment Kit, and then brush off using larger brush from Metallics Pigment Kit. Set Perfect Pearls by spraying water into air using Distress Sprayer, and then waving panel through resulting mist.

Step 3: Die cut detailed Scribbly Butterfly die from panel. Repeat steps 1-3, this time using just Confetti White Perfect Pearls from Metallics Pigment Kit, and die cut solid butterfly as well as MOM letters using Seasonal Sketch dies. Adhere detailed die cut to solid die cut.

Step 4: Ink Simon Hurley Brushstrokes background with Perfect Medium and stamp on pink cardstock. Sprinkle Pink Gumball Perfect Powder over panel, brush away excess, and trim panel down.

Step 5: Spray some water onto Ranger Craft Mat, add Confetti White Perfect Powder, and mix using small paintbrush to create some ‘paint’. Use paintbrush to add some splatter to pink panel.

Step 6: Assemble card. Adhere pink panel to Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Card. Place butterfly on the card adhering body directly to the card and add foam adhesive to the wings for dimension. Adhere letters directly to the card, and a secondary sentiment from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Cling Mount Stamp Curiosity Shop set.

This was such a fun card to create, that I decided to mix it up and create another card, but this time I used Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock for a much moodier feel.  I used the same supplies as before, except the background was stamped with the Simon Hurley Watercolor background stamp.
