Hi there! It’s Cheiron Brandon and I am back with another fun tutorial using the brand-new Snowflakes and Twinkle Texture Paste. I am combining them with Distress Oxide Minis to create a super sparkly and glittery Christmas card. The new mini blending brushes are perfect for this technique! 

Step 1: Place your stencil over a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock cut to 4 ¾ X 6 ¾.

Step 2: Using a mini blending brush, apply Distress Oxide Inks one at a time in a rainbow palette (or any palette you choose).

Step 3: I used Picked Raspberry, Lumberjack Plaid, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves.

Step 4: Continue applying all your colors until you have filled in all the open areas.

Step 5: Remove the stencil and clean off any ink.

Step 6: Replace the stencil, lining it up with the inked areas. Apply Twinkle Paste over the entire open areas of the stencil going from top to bottom. Try to make it one large swipe instead of going over it several times.

Step 7: Remove the stencil and let your paste dry. Be sure to clean the stencil or put in a pan of water until you can clean it.

Step 8: Add some to the bottom of the card and some of the baubles by adding Glossy Accents first then pressing the Snowflakes gently into the Glossy Accents. Let dry.  QUICK NOTE: See Step 10!

Step 9: Add the panel to the card base, then add a sentiment strip using foam tape.

Step 10: My card felt too plain so as a last-minute step you could add a spritz of Fog Distress Mica stain. Mask off card sides and sentiment and mist with the spray stain. Ideally, this would be after Step 8!
